This is our first wedding of 2011 and we couldn’t be happier!  Claire and Chris’ family and friends flew in from a snowy Northeastern seaboard to a sunny North Palm Beach for a weekend full of fun.  Their ceremony took place in the Catholic church and the reception was at the Lost Tree Club.

  1. So many great photographs!! :)

  2. I love these! Great perspectives!

  3. Stunning photographs with incredible editing, what more can you ask for?

Kyli and Mark were married at the Marriott Harbor Beach,  in Fort Lauderdale.   The ceremony took place deck side overlooking the ocean.   A nephew pulled the flower girl and boy in a wagon,  he was very cute. The reception was in the resort’s beautifully decorated ballroom.  The guest’s table and seat number were found on candied apples that were on a table just before entering the room.  Kyli’s sister handmade book for guests to write a sweet note in.  One of my most found memories of the night was when Paul pointed out a sweet elderly couple dancing and said “I hope we’re in love as much as they are after decades of being married”.  After 17 years this spring,  we are well on our way.  I am so thankful to this beautiful family for allowing us to photograph the wedding day for them!

  2. you guys are unreal. i think this is the best portrait of a bride i’ve ever seen: http://www.pauljohnsonphoto.com/blog/images2011/moriarty15.jpg

  3. The wagon shot is absolutely adorable, and her dress….stunning!! Gorgeous work, as always.

  4. Definately some of the best wedding photography I’ve seen, incredible location that has been complimented by exceptional photography!

Mike and Ashley were married in The Meeting House at Carillon Beach.  Their ceremony was performed by a close friend, Edwin Caraballo,  the Bible Chaplain for the Chicago Cubs.

Beautiful totes were given to the guests with a hand drawn flower,  by Ashley,  printed on the front.  Pinned to the totes were handmade flowers that were made by Ashley and her mother.   The bridal bouquet was wrapped with her mom’s handkerchief and rosary.

Mike and Ashley’s friends have so many beautiful children.  They all took part in the day.

Rhonda of Confections on the Coast,  designed the bridal cake to mimic Ashley’s Vera Wang gown.  It was truly beautiful.

The signature cocktail was Love Potion Number 14…. Mike’s uniform number with the San Francisco Giants is 14. Cute!

Once the party got started,  Ashley changed into a pair of custom made Converse All Stars.

  4. What a sweet couple! (The pometini is my favorite drink.) I love the echo of the gown in the cake. The bouquet wrap was a great touch; I love details that are meaningful.

  5. Such a beautiful couple. Ashley has a truly contagious smile. I know where I’m going for mother of the bride advice in 15+(?) years. The sparklers add a magical touch.

  6. I have gotten so many compliments on these photos! Y’all did such an amazing job. Thank you again for making these memories so beautiful! Hope to see you in Louisiana soon!

  7. Honestly I don’t know how I missed this post when you first published it! Absolutely gorgeous in every way. Such a fun couple and wedding, you really captured the enthusiasm Ashley & Mike have for life and love.

  8. Absolutely love your work… I’m an aspiring photographer myself, but I just wanted to take the time to let you know.
    Best of luck!

Just today,  someone asked me if Paul and I ever get tired of photographing weddings at Carillon Beach.  I was honestly able to tell her that we do not.  While every bride will want her and her groom’s photograph taken on the famous walkover,  I realize how special this is to them and we love creating beautiful imagery for her.  This day is unique to each couple individually.  Lauren and Drew are no exception.  The moment I saw Lauren with her sweet smile and striking red hair,  I knew this is another gorgeous,  unique Carillon Wedding.  We felt so blessed to share this day with you,  Lauren and Drew.

  2. They look like such a sweet couple…Love your work

  3. That’s why we love you guys—because you appreciate and show the inherent beauty in EVERY wedding, even if it’s set in a place you’ve shot 1000 times before. Bravo!

  4. I love these pictures, my face hurts from smiling. This local couple are just beautiful together! Lauren and Drew just glowed with love for each other. They were both so genuine, and treated everyone with such kindness and respect.

Happy New Year!  Paul and I are excited to share our first blog post of the year.  We had the wonderful opportunity to travel to NC multiple times last Fall and are looking forward to going back this year.  Mary Jo and Bryan were married at The Old Edwards Inn’s Farm over Halloween weekend.   Mary Jo was so beautiful.  She and Brian shared communion during their ceremony which was performed by their youth pastor.   During the reception,  MJ’s dad grabbed a mic and sang several songs.  He’s had his own band since he was a teenager.

This is the first time Paul and I have been to The Angus Barn in Raleigh, NC and hopefully not the last!  Carolyn and Madji did an outstanding job planning their wedding at the barn including a lakeside ceremony with the reception inside the barn.  The barn had a beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace.  Each guest had their personal s’mores making packet at their table so that after dinner everyone could enjoy the fire pit outside while roasting marsh mellows.  Carolyn and Madji were so sweet and shared so many intimate moments during the evening.  I really enjoyed being with them and their family on the wedding day.
